How we work

Dentistry works best when it’s boring: regular check-ups, small problems caught early, and nothing done in a hurry. That’s the practice we try to run. You’ll see the same faces each visit, you’ll be told what we found and why we recommend what we recommend, and you’ll get costs in writing before treatment starts.

Our team consults in English, Korean and Mandarin, which matters in a community as varied as ours. And we’re set up for families — appointments back-to-back where possible, bulk billing for eligible children, and a genuinely calm approach with young or anxious patients.

What sets us apart

The team behind the practice

Dr Mee Kim founded the practice and remains at its heart — a dentist whose first instinct is always to save the natural tooth, and who has cared for Melbourne’s Korean community for more than sixteen years. Dr Mariana Habil brings over two decades across general, surgical, orthodontic and cosmetic dentistry, with advanced training in implants and aligners. Dr Jasper Byun joins the team in October 2026, with interests in oral surgery, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, periodontal care and helping nervous patients. Behind them is a reception and clinical support team who know most patients by name.

Between the three dentists we cover nearly everything in-house — from a child’s first check-up to implants and full-mouth rehabilitation — and when a specialist genuinely would do something better, we say so and refer.

Part of the neighbourhood

We’ve been on High Street since 2010, and many of the families we see now first came to us as children. We’re a short walk from Ashburton station, with free parking on site, and serve patients from Glen Iris, Malvern East, Ashwood and beyond. Saturday appointments make it easier for working families, and the practice is fully wheelchair accessible.
