Dr Kim completed her dental training in South Korea before moving to Australia, where she worked in a community dental hospital and later established Aesthetic Mee Dental in Ashburton. Founder of Aesthetic Mee Dental, Dr Kim has cared for Ashburton families for many years with a careful, conservative approach. She takes the time to explain what she’s found and why she recommends what she recommends, so patients leave knowing exactly where they stand.

How Dr Kim works

Dr Kim takes her time. Examinations aren’t rushed, findings are explained plainly, and she usually recommends the most conservative option that will work. She has a particular reluctance to remove healthy tooth structure and a particular patience with anxious patients — many of whom came to the practice after years of avoiding dentists altogether.

For Korean-speaking patients, the ability to discuss treatment in their own language changes the whole experience: questions get asked that would otherwise go unasked, and decisions get made with real understanding.
